Force 5 Annual Triathlon and Picnic Sunday – 7th edition – August 11th at 10:00 am

We are hoping everyone of you can attend and bring your families as well, so please get us a head count.

 

Scott and Carli have generously agreed to host this amazing event again…here are the details:

 

The Picnic…. Refreshments and picnic after the race, at Scott and Carli’s house, all are invited! The Team will provide grilling food, drinks, beer and snacks and prizes. 

 

We are counting on all that offered to bring a appetizer, side dish, salad or desert of some sort, to complement the store bought food.

 

Bring chairs… and remember be careful and have fun with this race, the bike course will be open to traffic.

 

The Race…Meet at Scott Casper’s house, at 18 Pawson Road, Branford, then walk down the the transition area at the beach to set up. Race will start at 10:00 am.

 

The swim will be about a quarter mile – ( 3/4) mile, the bike will be one loop of the Hammerfest bike course, (backwords), about 7 miles, and the run will be about 2.5 miles of the Hammerfest run course (in Pawson Park), also.

 

Remember the race is Handicapped, with everyone starting at different intervals so all can participate and hopefully finish with a close finish at the line. Make sure to let me know if you have any injuries so I can build them into the starting times.

 

Teams are welcome, form whatever combination you want…

2011 Holiday Party at Zanes

Sorry for the last minute notice again, but…
It is that time again!! so everyone try and make the Sale and Party!!!

Member families are all welcome, also past and possible future members are too!

The Team will provide Pizza, (the healthy kind), Salads and refreshments, so we can shop without hunger pains.

It has been a long season for most and we would like to see the team get together, so try to make the time to come out! … get a baby sitter or bring them too, set the DVR or get someone else to cover you at work…

Bike 101

Tomorrow should be a beautiful day, please stop by for all or part of the following:

10:00(ish) Group ride starting from my house (5 Union St. Branford)
11:00 (or whenever riders get back) Bike 101 (bring your bikes and gear…plus lots of questions to ask the experts!)
12:00-on BBQ (plenty of food and beer up for grabs!)

Changing a Flat Tire
